CATIONIC EMULSION

CRS grades are topically used for tack coat and sealcoat. CMS grades are used for cold mix, crack treatment and tack coat. CSS grades are topically used in slurry seal applications. These grades are used in the construction and maintenance of the pavements as designated in ASTM D 2397.

  • CRS grades are ideal for tack coat layer.
  • CMS Grades are ideal for cold mix and crack treatment.
  • CSS grades are ideal for Slurry seal, tact coat, prime coat and fog seal.
  • Nonflammable.
  • Easy to apply since the product is emulsified and can be used without heating.
  • Conforms to ASTM D 2397.

Store in a dry and shaded area in original packing.

  • Excellent adhesion to aggregates due to positive (cationic) charge.
  • Suitable for rapid, medium and slow setting applications.
  • Provides good coating and uniform distribution on surfaces.
  • Improves water resistance and durability of pavements.
  • Easy handling and application without the need for heating.

the area to be sealed and must be dried. It must be swept with a power broom to remove dirt, sand, gravel and other debris.

Apply the asphalt emulsion to the clean surface with the distributer spray bar. application temperature should be between 20 to 60 deg, CRS grades should not be diluted with water. CMS and CSS grades can be diluted with water, if needed, for example in fog seal application. However, water should be added slowly to the emulsion.

Diluting emulsion by adding it to a tank of water should never be done. Traffic must be controlled according to a traffic control plan and kept off the sealed area until the emulsion breaks or until it does not adhere to vehicle tire. More details about application are available upon request.

Supplied in bulk, 180 kg Drums, 15 kg pails. Other weights are available upon request.

No special precautions are needed since these are water-based, nonflammable materials.

Depends on the surface treatment technique selected.

Workers should Wear protective masks, Gloves and goggles during application.

Note: The technical data provided reflects typical properties based on laboratory tests and practical experience, subject to UEAtc tolerance levels. While we cannot guarantee performance under all conditions, further details are available upon request, with a standard variation of up to 20%.
