SEALCOAT - D41
DESCRIPTION
Sealcoat D41 is a solvent based cold applied, highly penetrative thin bituminous solution in black color.

USES
- For priming concrete, masonry, metal and asphalt surfaces.
- Suitable for use as priming coat before applying any bituminous coating, or modified bitumen membrane in roofing, dam proofing, and waterproofing below or above ground level.
STORAGE
Store in tightly closed containers under cover and away from sources of heat and ignition.
- Keep the products packed in a dry place.
- Keep away from direct sunlight.
- Do not place the pallets on top of each other.
- Use only with proper ventilation.
- Avoid contact skin and eyes by careful working.
- Do not use near open flame.
- It is advisable to use goggles and gloves.
- In case of eye contact immediately wash with coldwater or consult the physician.
STANDARD
SEALCOAT D41 complies with the requirements of JS 674-90 and ASTM D41- 05 Type I.
SURFACE CLEANING
Surface must be clean,free from dirt, dust, oil andgrease. New concrete must be fully cured, and dried before priming.
APPLICATION
The primer is applied on a single coat. It should be well scrubbed in by brush, ensuring only a thin coating is applied or applied thinly but evenly by spray.
COVERAGE
It covers from 0.2 to 0.3 Kg/mΒ² depending on application method, surface properties and condition of substrates.
DRY TIME
It dries to touch in 2-4 hours. But the time needed to complete dry is from 12 to 24 hours dependent on prevailing conditions.
APPLICATION TEMPERATURE
It can be applied at a temperature between 2Β°C and 50Β°C.
HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT
All safety measures should be observed during application. Fire extinguishers should be available at site. Care should be taken with gas, and torch should not be rested on finished surface or on any materials that can be scratched by flame or hot torch. Gloves and goggles should be worn by all workers during application.
