AQUAPROOF 6010
DESCRIPTION
Aquaproof-6010 is a high-quality bitumen emulsion. With minimum 10% rubber content on dry film. Designed to use as a damp proof membrane, vapors barrier, waterproofing and protective coating.
SPECIFICATION
Aquaproof β 6010 complies with performance requirement of ASTM D 1227 Type III, Class I. Tested in accordance with ASTM D 2939 and other relevant international standards.

CLEANING TOOLS
Clean tools in soap and water immediately after use. Dried emulsion can be removed with the help of any solvent.
APPLICATION
Stir well before use. As damp-proof membrane, two coats of Aquaproof – 6010 are recommended. Apply the first coat at a thickness of 200 to 500 microns. Allow a minimum of 4 hours between the first coat and the second coat. The second coat should be applied at right angles a third coat is required for very porous substrate.
THICKNESS
PRIMING
Normally priming is not required, however priming the surface is recommended when the surface is very dry and porous. For priming use one coat of Bitugulf AQUAPROOF.
APPLICATION TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
- Stir AQUAPROOF to homogeneity & apply by brush or Roller the first coat at a rate of 2-3 mtΒ²/kg. coat.
- To ease application, dampen the surface with water before and during use.
- Allow the first coat to dry (1-4 hours depending on weather conditions).
- Apply the second coat at the same rate and right angle to the first coat.
- Protectfrom frost and rain until fully cured.
HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT
There are no health hazards associated with Aquaproof β 6010. All safety measures should be observed during application. Fire extinguishers should be available on site. Care should be taken with gas, and torches should not be rested on finished surface or on any materials that can be scratched by flame or hot torch. Gloves and goggles should be worn by all workers during application.
