DESCRIPTION

Bitusilver is a cold applied highly reflective aluminum bitumen coating. Special mixture of high-quality bitumen dissolved in selected petroleum solvents and blended with a special aluminum paste.

BITUSILVER – A cold applied highly reflective aluminum bitumen coating used for protection, waterproofing and UV resistance.

APPROVALS / CERTIFICATES

USES

To avoid damp and water leakage risk, it’s recommended for:

  • To preserve, protect and beautify modified bitumen smooth and granules waterproofing membranes.
  • To protect metal structure and is an anti-rust and corrosion coating.
  • It can be used on vertical and horizontal structures made of concrete, metal and masonry.

STORAGE

  • Keep the products packed in a dry place.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight.
  • Do not place the pallets on top of each other.

CLEANING

Spray equipment and brush should be cleaned immediately after use by a suitable solvent. Hands use hand cleaner followed by soap and water.

APPLICATION

APPLICATION ON POROUS SUBSTRATES
Thoroughly clean the surface to be coated. All dirt, dust, scale, grease, oil and other loose particles.
All brush strokes should be in one direction and temperature above 20 Β©. Thoroughly mix before and during application.

APPLICATION ON METAL STRUCTURES
On old metal or galvanized steel, remove rust and scale with a wire brush. Pre-treat new galvanized steel surface with diluted acid.

COVERAGE

  • Approx. 0.16 kg/mtΒ² on metal, wood or smooth bituminous surfaces.
  • Approx. 0.27 kg/mtΒ² on granule, rough or concrete surfaces.

APPLICATION TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

It can be applied by paint brush, squeegee or airless spray equipment at the recommended coverage rates.

HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT

Gloves, goggles and normal masks are worn. When contact with skin, eyes immediately wash abundant water.

All safety measures should be observed during application. Fire extinguishers should be available on site. Care should be taken with gas, and torches should not be rested on finished surface or on any materials that can be scratched by flame or hot torch. Gloves and goggles should be worn by all workers during application.

  • application wear proper personal protective equipment.
  • Ensure proper ventilation if used in the enclosed area.
  • Keep away from sources of sparks or ignition.
  • Avoid skin contact; if contact occurs remove with hand cleaner then clean with soap and water.
  • Avoid eyes contact, if contact occurs flush with clean water.
  • Avoid inhalation; if inhalation occurs move to fresh air area and if breathing difficulty persist, administer oxygen.
